# Changelog

- Streamlined nomination acknowledgement, changed de-identified aggregated improvement use to a disclosed opt-out, and retained marketing as a separate unchecked opt-in.

## Private accounts and explicit brand claims — 2026-09-14

- Made nominations and all nomination activity private; removed public brand listing, support-count and sharing paths.
- Made nomination a persistent passwordless account entry so participants can return to saved progress.
- Separated required service-data use from optional aggregated improvement and optional commercial marketing consent.
- Required an explicit, independently reviewed and revision-checked operator decision before a representative receives brand membership.
- Added the private operator decision control and a CLI-generated additive migration; both remain gated on synthetic non-production verification before deployment.
- Kept the public validator browser-local while defining a separate retained-upload path for signed-in private workspaces.
- Recorded the governance change in Decision 0003. Reaching 50 or 100 brands triggers review only, never automatic publication.

## Public evidence and claims alignment — 2026-09-10

- Removed the provisional Amazon map from public artifacts and interfaces. Its draft research remains internal and deferred until marketplace-, product-type-, and seller-context mappings are independently verified.
- Rechecked Google, Shopify, Meta, Amazon, OpenAI, UCP and ACP references against current first-party documentation and recorded source-specific retrieval dates.
- Separated the catalog model (`0.1.0-alpha`), schema revision (`0.1.2-alpha`), field registry (`0.1.0-alpha`), evidence registry (`0.2.0-alpha`) and platform-map versions in public release metadata.
- Kept destination item IDs scoped to their channels, made interpretive ID-to-SKU relationships DERIVED, and exposed row-level mapping notes.
- Restored complete English/French identity doctrine, route pairs, localized metadata, the three-part volunteer allocation and reproducible synthetic-example links.
- Removed unsupported outcome and blanket retention claims. Public nominations no longer collect submitter or brand-representative contact details.

## Schema identity correction — 2026-09-08

- Moved the current canonical schema `$id` to `https://open.divergentlogic.co/open/model/canonical-commerce-product-model.json` and bumped the schema revision to `0.1.2-alpha`. The catalog model contract remains `0.1.0-alpha`; no field, value, mapping or validation semantics changed.

## Private Wave 2 validator update — 2026-09-08

- Recognize Google Merchant Center UI-export headers and display-form availability values without weakening ordinary feed-spec validation.
- Accept Google Merchant tab-separated text exports as well as comma-delimited feeds, with quoted delimiters preserved as data and mixed-delimiter headers rejected as ambiguous.
- Raise the browser-local UTF-8 input ceiling from 200 KB to 10 MB while retaining record, field and observation expansion limits.

## Toolkit release 0.3.1-alpha — 2026-09-05

- Prepared a clean reference-toolkit export, contribution/issue/PR templates, security and conduct policies, read-only CI and a manual versioned release procedure. Repository publication remains a separate owner decision.
- Added application health checks, fixed-category server failure logging, error recovery screens, public smoke checks and a tested read-only rollback preflight for the hosted site.
- Restored public navigation on small screens and added keyboard skip/focus support.
- No model, schema, field-value, mapping, adapter or rule interpretation changed. No merchant data, client analytics or growth claims were introduced.

## Rules and value contracts 0.3.0-alpha — 2026-09-05

- Governed condition/gender/age-group tokens and versioned taxonomy-reference shape; taxonomy membership remains UNKNOWN.
- Added a pinned 248-code UN M49 snapshot and a deliberately bounded seven-currency precision reference. Unlisted codes remain UNKNOWN; sub-minor-unit precision warns without rounding.
- Added Google and Shopify source adapters, current/legacy Shopify headers, grouped variant/image handling, explicit context, and source-record findings. Unsupported columns and semantics remain disclosed.
- Added product/outcome filters, complete explicit private JSON download, all-findings metadata and source-linked remediation. Input remains browser-local.
- Published six invented catalogue fixtures and reproducible synthetic results; added a 500-record regression. No real merchant data or real-catalogue accuracy claim.
- Decision 0002 documents migration, source boundaries and evaluation limits. Nomination and attribution policy are unchanged.

## Rules and value contracts 0.2.0-alpha — 2026-09-05

- Added full Draft 2020-12 envelope validation with enforced formats, generated offline functions and a build-time drift gate.
- Published typed value contracts and explicit unresolved semantic statuses for all 26 fields.
- Added field/entity-grain, assertion-scope, provenance, parent-cycle and GTIN checks; invalid typed offer values no longer satisfy core presence.
- Bound reports to schema, registry, rule and value-contract versions. Capped displayed findings with complete counts and added a nesting resource limit.
- Synchronized JSON/YAML metadata in schema revision 0.1.1-alpha; catalog modelVersion remains 0.1.0-alpha. Field-ID pattern semantics were already equivalent and are unchanged.
- Preserved historical schema/rules and recorded interpretation/migration impact in Decision 0001. No destination mapping, private-data policy or growth claim changed.

## Reference rules 0.1.1-alpha — 2026-09-05

The canonical model remains `0.1.0-alpha`; this is a reference-validator correction, not a model migration.

- Reject unrecognized knowledge states, malformed entries, missing catalog metadata and broken direct parent references.
- Parse multiline quoted CSV and escaped quotes; reject ambiguous headers and malformed quotes; report row-width and empty core-cell failures.
- Keep Shopify continuation-row identity/completeness unassessed, rather than applying single-product-row assumptions.
- Report absent entity scopes as UNKNOWN, list unimplemented rule IDs, and expose rule version and partial coverage in browser and automation results.
- Apply a shared 200 KB UTF-8 limit, invalidate stale browser findings when input changes, and add an offline command-line runner.
- Separate finding outcomes from assertion knowledge states.

## 0.1.0-alpha — 2026-09-05

- Published the initial entity graph and explicit epistemic-state contract.
- Published 26 canonical field definitions.
- Added bounded Google, Shopify, Meta, Amazon, and OpenAI maps with evidence statuses.
- Added the first deterministic rule registry and synthetic examples.
- Added methodology, governance, contribution, privacy, and validator contracts.

This alpha is intentionally incomplete. Platform maps state their coverage and should not be treated as exhaustive specifications.
